Paul Roux to Retire, Anton Ali Named Successor

NextGen Label Group today announced Chief Technical Officer Paul Roux will retire at the end of 2026 and Anton Ali has been appointed as his successor. This CTO succession is part of a planned leadership transition with the technical department.

Paul joined Syracuse Label as Vice President of Development over 20 years ago. Following the 2022 merger of Syracuse Label with W.N. Throughout his tenure, Paul has guided significant technical advancements and customer growth initiatives across the organization.

In his role as CTO, Paul’s leadership, deep technical expertise, and unwavering commitment to innovation have been instrumental in shaping the company’s technical vision and strengthening its position as an industry leader.

“Paul’s contributions over the past two decades have been exceptional,” said Dan Rosenbaum, President & CEO of NextGen Label Group. “His leadership has advanced our technical capabilities, strengthened key customer partnerships, and positioned NextGen Label Group for long-term success. We are deeply grateful for his impact and look forward to celebrating his accomplishments.”

“It has been an honor to work alongside so many talented employee-owners throughout my career,” said Roux. “I am proud of what we have built together and grateful for the relationships formed along the way. NextGen Label Group has an incredibly bright future, and I am confident Anton’s leadership will continue to strengthen our technical capabilities and support our customers for years to come.”

CTO Succession

As part of its strategic CTO succession, Anton Ali was appointed VP Technical Services, effective May 4, 2026. Anton will work closely with Paul through the remainder of the year to ensure a seamless transition and will assume the role of Chief Technical Officer upon Paul’s retirement. The transition reflects NextGen’s commitment to leadership development, technical excellence, and uninterrupted support for customers across all markets served.

Anton Ali joins NextGen Label Group after leading global packaging engineering and supply chain strategy at Google. He brings more than 20 years of experience in packaging and materials science, with a proven track record of leadership, innovation, and operational excellence.

Prior to his time at Google, Anton served as Technical Director at Hammer Packaging (now part of MCC), where he led package engineering, field service teams, and research and development initiatives supporting consumer packaged goods brands.
