NextGen Label Group is proud to announce that our Syracuse Label division has achieved recertification through the Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP). This recertification reinforces our ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility and continuous improvement in sustainable print practices.
SGP recertification recognizes facilities that consistently meet high standards for sustainability, including reducing waste, improving energy efficiency, and responsible material usage. Syracuse Label is one of just 59 printers in North America to hold this distinguished certification.

SGP Certification Supports Brand Custodianship
The SGP recertification directly supports NextGen Label Group’s commitment to Brand Custodianship and solutions-driven partnerships. Packaging plays a critical role in shaping consumer perception and trust. As stewards of our customers’ brands, we take a customer-centric approach to understanding their unique goals and challenges, helping them meet their environmental objectives while protecting brand integrity. This commitment reinforces our role as a solutions-driven partner delivering labels that align with both brand values and the growing demand for responsible and sustainable packaging practices.
At NextGen Label Group, sustainability isn’t a one-time initiative. It is embedded in how we operate every day to better serve our customers and deliver forward-thinking solutions. The Syracuse Label facility continues to advance this through key initiatives, including:
- Achieving zero waste to landfill by recycling or repurposing materials for alternative energy
- Reducing energy consumption through equipment upgrades and process improvements
- Investing in digital and advanced print technologies to minimize material waste and provide more efficient, tailored solutions for our customers
- Expanding the use of recyclable and environmentally responsible substrates to support evolving customer needs and sustainability goals
- Introducing new sustainable technologies to the market, including our recent collaboration with Waiakea, Living Ink Technologies, and ACTEGA to achieve the first commercial launch of algae-based black UV flexo ink—a promising innovation with the potential to significantly reduce carbon footprint.
As expectations for sustainability continue to grow, we remain committed to advancing responsible manufacturing practices. And always put our customers first, delivering meaningful, solutions-oriented results.
